The Comox Valley Children’s Choir brings lasting connection to music, friends, and the community for our children and youth. The unity of music has always inspired and fostered harmony and we continue to maintain these connections. Help us to keep this integral part of our community thriving by making a donation.

“I would like to make a donation to the choirs. How can I donate?”

We thankfully hear this questions a lot! There are THREE WAYS you can make a donation:

  1. Make a one-time or monthly donation through Canada Helps. All donations will receive a tax-deductible receipt.

Margaret was involved with the Victoria children’s choral community for 20 years. She was a founding member parent of Viva Choirs (then the Greater Victoria Youth Choir) and volunteered in every possible capacity before becoming the chief Administrator for the choir. In 2011 Margaret was honoured with the BC Choral Federation’s Herbert Kent award for her long-standing service.

Margaret believed in accessibility to artistic experiences. She was proud of Viva’s commitmentto serving every child who wanted to sing. She often drew parents’ attention to a small poster in the choir office: a quote from Henry Van Dyke that the “woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best.”

Margaret’s granddaughter is a current member of the Comox Valley Children’s Choir, and her grandson will join next year. She would be so pleased that these donations will help enrich the community of choral music for children in the Comox Valley.

WHERE WILL MY GIFT BE USED?
Your gift will be applied to the operating costs of our choir so we can continue to provide quality music education for the children and youth of the Comox Valley.
